Okay, I've literally been thinking about starting a blog since I was conceived back in '98; but all attempts had been unsuccessful, until now (I hope).
I used my incompetence to writing introductions and bios and about me's and all that as an excuse to never actually going through with posting something, so don't judge the entirety of this blog based off of this one post: thanks.
So, hey. I'm Maiya (or mia, whatever works): a paradoxical, teenage, vintage and art enthusiast; desperately trying to stay sane.
I basically live and breathe the arts, and can't survive without books. Mysteries, art, good stories, trivial facts about history, life, and the world, travelling, disney films, tea, and cats complete me.
I like to think the quote above, by unknown, describes me and my reason for starting a blog. I'm hoping to improve my writing and communication skills through this; share my works (art, diy's etc.), reviews, and thoughts; and decide what I want to do with the rest of my life.
All this is really vague, but I guess we'll both get more of an insight on the niche of this blog and the niche of me once I begin to actually blog.
So, that's all for now, I guess.

good luck on your new blog! Just keep writing-don't look for perfect. You will be able to look back and be proud of where you have been and what you have done :) I've had a personal blog since 2008 and there's no better time to start than now.
